Go Jamaica: “Jamaican dollar gains value”
The Jamaican dollar has started to show signs of strengthening. On Friday, the dollar closed trading at $87.35 to US$1. This represents an appreciation of almost two per cent against the US currency since the beginning of the year.

THE interest rate payable on Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) 30-day Certificates of Deposit will be reduced by 50 basis points, effective today, from 10.00 per cent to 9.50 per cent.
